Brazilian starlet Vitor Roque, who made a dream move to Barcelona early this year, might be on his way out amid exit rumors. The speculation about the 19-year-old forward potentially moving to Saudi Arabia has sparked reactions from fans globally.

Barcelona is planning a major overhaul of their attacking lineup this summer, and several players are expected to leave the club. 19-year-old Vitor Roque is among them. The Brazilian forward signed a sensational deal with the club until the 2030–31 season with a buyout clause of €500 million. Roque might likely depart after just 16 appearances last season, with the Catalan club no longer relying on him just seven months after bringing him.

Roque’s hope of impressing Barcelona’s new manager Hansi Flick seems to have run out, with his jersey number (19) also being given away to fellow forward Lamine Yamal. This has made it clear that the player is not in the club’s plans. Barcelona are open to selling him for a good price, but are also a little hesitant to hastily move with a deal. Moreover, they have even reportedly received a concrete offer from Saudi Arabia for the talented forward.

Additionally, Barcelona may need to sell the forward to raise funds for signing Spanish talents Nico Williams and Dani Olmo. Furthermore, another potential departure is Ansu Fati, who was on loan at Brighton last season.

Fans took to social media to express their views, with some urging the club not to sell Vitor Roque to Saudi Arabia, fearing it could jeopardize his budding career. Others criticized Barcelona director Deco for mishandling the club’s transfer strategies. One fan even requested that the club sell Ferran Torres instead, of Roque.

Another fan argued that the club had squandered €60 million on the player without gaining any benefit from his signing. One fan compared Roque’s potential career trajectory to that of former Barca forward Malcolm, who also struggled to make an impact in Europe.
