Well, Saturday night did not end well for the New York Yankees, as they will have to try their best to win Game 3 on Monday at Yankee Stadium. They lost Game 1 and Game 2 in LA and recorded their latest score of 2-4 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While they kind of handed off Game 1 to the opponent with a wrong bullpen call, Game 2 went astray following captain Aaron Judge’s slump. Moreover, Carlos Rodon allowed four runs and three homers in just 3 ½ innings.

They are currently trailing 2-0 in the World Series and will need to win Game 3 on Monday to continue further on. Winning four games in a row against one of the MLB’s top teams like the LA Dodgers will be quite challenging.

Game 3 will be a crucial turnover for the NY Yankees. Two players who hit the spotlight in Game 2 were Yanks Juan Soto and Dodgers Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Soto recorded two hits and a solo home run to keep the team afloat, while the Japanese star retired 11 pitchers and allowed one solo HR to Soto.

No one said it’s going to be easy. It’s a long series, and we need to make it a long series now. We won’t flinch. We’ve just got to keep at it.

Aaron Judge also understands the gravity of the situation and promised to perform his best to back up the guys in the rotation. “I’ve got to step up. I’ve got to do my job,” he said after the Game 2 loss. Nevertheless, the fanbase remains furious with what all happened so far.

They even said that Aaron Judge should be called back until he performs like the No.99 he’s supposed to. One X user noted, following the Game 2 loss, “We are officially COOKED I hate to say it.” While another added, “Tell Judge to get on the team bus.” Check out some of the reactions:

Saturday’s defeat came after a heartbreaking Game 1 loss where Nestor Cortes failed to capitalize on the lead and ended the game with Freddie Freeman’s grand-slam walk-off win. The series will now move to the Yankee Stadium for Game 3 of the World Series, scheduled on Monday.
