“They are a disgrace” – Fans blame Roland Garros’ poor scheduling and improper court management for Novak Djokovic’s injury
Djokovic himself had repeatedly brought this issues to organizers notice, but it seems it fell on deaf ears.

Novak Djokovic was not in his best firm heading into the French Open, but even his physical condition seemed to have worsened throughout the tournament as he was seen wincing in pain in his last two matches.
In the third-round match against Lorenzo Musetti, he was forced to play a full five sets that went on past 3 am. Post this, he was photographed having a plaster on his knee, indicating that the four-plus hour match had indeed taken a toll on the Serb.
It was also noticeable in his fourth-round match against Francisco Cerundolo as he was constantly holding his knee and looked uncomfortable throughout the match, despite making an impossible comeback and winning the match in the fifth set.
Today, he announced that he would be withdrawing from the tournament due to the knee injury and fans were quick to blame the Roland Garros’ organization for his condition.
RG needs to take a bow for contributing to their defending champions Injury, They are a disgrace.

There are people inside the tennis establishment (including the media) & the tennis (mostly Fedal) fan base who are smiling with a twisted sense of joy right now. As you know, there are so many mentally sick people in the world, some of whom occupy the highest echelon of the…

This is an unfortunate situation.

Players' health should be the top priority.
Tournament organizers need to reevaluate their policies to ensure athlete safety and fair competition. For Djokovic, this knee injury is devastating.
An injury of this magnitude could potentially…
Roland Garros is to blame here completely. They screwed up this season. As far as Nole is concerned he will be back very strong very soon. He completely has what it takes to win more slams. He just did not want to risk out his knee in more gruelling matches on this surface. Smart

The netizens reasoned that it was unacceptable that he had to play past 3 am and be ready to play again the next day. It was also noticed that the organizers refused to have the courts made between sets despite Djokovic complaining that the conditions were slippery and dangerous.
Can we all blame Roland Garros for Novak Djokovic's knee injury?

Shame on Roland Garros for having no regard for player safety.
Novak Djokovic was forced to play past 3 am and they also ignored his calls to sweep the court due to unsafe playing conditions – all of which… pic.twitter.com/6kfG0IfKLb
@rolandgarros @InteBNLdItalia unswept courts and bottles on the head. Novak should sue you!

We can blame Roland Garros for that. Especially that as you said, he told to the umpire and the supervisor that the conditions of playing were not good.

Good choice of Nole, but I really hope that this injury isn’t too bad
I still don't understand why RG moved the Dimitrov-Bergs match on to Chatrier-right before the Djokovic match- which caused the catastrophic delay on Sat..

Then refusing to simply sweep the courts….?♀️
It's a terrible look for RG.
Novak Djokovic has relinquished his title of ‘World No.1’ by withdrawing from the French Open
Before the French Open began, it was known that Jannik Sinner had an amazing opportunity to overtake Djokovic in the rankings to sit on top of the world. However, these chances seemed to decrease slightly when Djokovic announced that he would be playing an ATP 250 event in Geneva, which would give him some additional ranking points.
After that tournament, Sinner had to reach the same round as Djokovic, or better, to hold the title of the best player in the world for the first time in his career. Djokovic’s withdrawal from the French Open today met this condition and the ATP Tour announced that Sinner will officially be the World No.1 after the rankings are updated this week.
At just 22, he became the first Italian man to ever accomplish this feat.
