This week’s SmackDown was the Season Premiere episode on the USA Network. It was a packed show featuring WWE’s biggest stars, including legends from the past. The list of those legends included the likes of RVD, Booker T, and Ron Simmons. However, one name that caused massive outrage from the fans was Vickie Guerrero, who made her first appearance in WWE after following her major controversy.
The widow of the late Eddie Guerrero has been in deep waters ever since her daughter Sherilyn Guerrero accused Vickie’s husband of s*xual assault. Sherilyn claimed that her mother was aware of the situation but still didn’t take any action. This controversy drew massive backlash against Guerrero even after the latter denied such claims from her daughter.
The 56-year-old was signed with AEW last year when these allegations took the wrestling world by storm. However, she parted ways with the company a month later. Guerrero hadn’t made a notable public appearance ever since. Therefore, her return on SmackDown Season Premiere garnered a lot of buzz around her once again.
Vickie Guerrero is a SmackDown legend in her own rights. She is known for her stint as the SmackDown GM in 2007-09. Her love angle with Edge is something that is even talked about to this date. The former WWE manager left the company in 2014 and has sporadically appeared on television since then.
