The Dallas Cowboys owner and billionaire businessman, Jerry Jones, got a small win in the form of relief from the fans. For once, the chants are not to oust him from the position but for one of his fiercest opponents in the past few months.
The Micah Parsons contract has reached a new level with strong accusations by the business mogul. Jones, in a podcast hosted by former Cowboys legend Michael Irvin, claimed that Micah Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, rejected a lucrative contract using some colorful words. Jones reportedly offered Mulugheta a contract that would have made Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in the history of the NFL.
He added that the deal has been done, and the terms have been discussed and agreed upon between the player and the management. Additionally, the octogenarian noted that the ball’s in the player and more specifically in his agent’s court.
We’ve got this deal resolved, in my mind, for the Dallas Cowboys. We’ve got it done and if the agent wants to finish up the details, which sure it and do all the paperwork, then he can do that. We’re ready to go. But, as far as the amount of money, the years, the guarantees, we’ve negotiated that.
However, the deal doesn’t seem to be going in a positive direction. David Mulugheta has denied stating those colorful words through former safety and analyst, Ryan Clark. On the other hand, Micah Parsons has distanced himself from the Cowboys by removing the Cowboys mention from his professional X handle.
Parsons had previously lashed out on X with a 1000-word note detailing the disrespect from the organization. He also suggested that the Cowboys’ disrespect towards his agent was like disrespecting him. The recent distancing from the Cowboys’ handle seemed to be in line with his previous words.
The Cowboys fans are weirdly supporting Jerry Jones
The Dallas Cowboys’ fans really need Micah Parsons in their squad. Parsons has been one of the best linebackers in the league with a Pro Bowl in all four of his seasons, in addition to a DROY and two First-Team All-Pro mentions. Parsons has held down the fort in a disappointing season, and their second preseason game highlighted how the Cowboys’ defense shambled without him.

The importance of signing Parsons has directed hate from the fans towards Mulugheta. Mulugheta, born to Eritrean immigrants, is one of the leading sports agents with around 40-42 of his representatives in the league. The anti-Mulugheta stance has blossomed in the form of support for Jerry Jones.
I’m starting to come around to Jerry’s perspective

One user handle, TheSocietyProject, pointed out that David Mulugheta represented Cincinnati Bengals’ Tee Higgins at one point. He further alleged that Higgins had fired him due to the hostile negotiations with the management.
All I know is Tee Higgins fired this agent for hostile negotiations with the Bengals front office. Parsons needs to do the same thing.

☝🏼This right here. The agent seems to be the problem here.

I agree with Jerry. That agent is a troublemaker. He’s poison. The reports out of Cleveland with the Watson deal (worst contract ever) is that he put out all of these reports and rumors that the owner was racist and he wouldn’t give a black QB that contract because he’s racist.…

That agent David is a clown. He had Jalen acting like a fool in Jax

However, not everyone is convinced. Some still think that Jerry Jones needs to be pilloried. The society’s grievances about billionaires and the other drama surrounding Jones are one of the key reasons for this. Neither Mulugheta nor Parsons has publicly commented on the comments yet.
