Months have passed since Bronny James was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 55th overall pick during the 2024 NBA Draft. However, James still seems to be the center of discussion among fans around the world. Recently, the famous basketball game which will be released in September, the NBA 2k25’s player ratings were released.

Interestingly, Bronny James got a rating of 68 as per X account LakeShowYo for the upcoming edition of the basketball game. However, fans were not impressed with his rating, deeming it to be too high for a rookie still to prove his abilities and skills to the basketball community. One fan wrote on X, “not even tryna be mean but absolutely WAY too high”

On the other hand, all eyes will be on the first-ever father-son duo (LeBron James and Bronny James) in the 2024-25 NBA season. A lot will be expected from the younger James going into his first season especially having the advantage of playing with his dad on the court. Also, James Jr. had a mediocre NBA Summer League for the Lakers and will be looking to improve as the season approaches.

James Jr. spent an entire season of college basketball with the USC Trojans. He concluded his rookie year with 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in 25 games, shooting 36.6% from the field and 26.7% from three. It remains to be seen now how James Jr will perform in the upcoming season of the NBA.

The NBA 2k25 is one of the most exciting games basketball fans look up to every year. Notably, there are many new additions to the game, as teams have acquired new faces going into the new NBA season. Interestingly, the Lakers’ new acquisition Bronny James has been given a rating of 68 in the new edition of the basketball game leaving fans unimpressed.

Many fans took to various social media apps to put forward their views and dissent regarding James Jr.’s being rated so highly in the game as a rookie. Nevertheless, James Jr. has a point to prove to the basketball community, especially after having the label of being “LeBron James’ son.” Despite not having a great NBA Summer League, the Lakers board and new head coach, JJ Reddick have stressed that James Jr will be given his time to develop and will not be rushed into things coming into the new 2024-25 NBA season.
