Former NFL MVP Cam Newton is no short of surprises as he delivers once again in Fox’s reality TV Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. In the recent installment of the hit reality television series, Newton wowed the audience after performing an athletic stunt. In the aftermath, the internet wants the NFL star to replace Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in movies involving stunts.

Cam Newton, one of 16 contestants, performed the task demanding to take a leap from a moving boat to a nearby helicopter. With relative ease, the NFL star made the jump and pulled himself up, stunning the entire crowd waiting on the other end. His castmates including former Motocross champion Carey Hart couldn’t stop themselves from gasping in bewilderment.

After that Newton secured a seat, looking content with himself. Despite being out of the NFL for nearly four years, the athlete boasts the athletic capabilities that made him a legend. The clip has since been making rounds on the internet and Cam Newton’s bravery was duly noted by the internet.

Everybody following the series and then some, took to platform X to express their feelings on the brave execution. The former NFL MVP is not the only athlete featured in the series. His competitors include former NFL wide receiver Golden Tate, Olympic swimmer Nathan Adrian, and soccer star Landon Donovan.

Cam Newton played 11 seasons in the league, 10 being with the Carolina Panthers and the rest going with the New England Patriots. He even led the former team to the Super Bowl, however, was defeated by Denver Broncos. Despite his time off of the field, clearly, he still has the athlete in himself.

Cam Newton’s stunt currently going viral is one of many in the third season of the Fox reality competition. The former NFL star dazzled on the field before transitioning to a crisp performance in the show. The internet immediately took to X to express their thoughts on the showcase by Newton.

Antonio Brown, another former NFL star, playfully jabbed at the former NFL QB. In the midst, a couple of fans even requested to replace Dwyane Johnson, or The Rock, with Newton for stunts. “I’ve seen enough. The show puts celebrities and sportspersons alike through various military training style competitions and puts them to the test. Notably, he hasn’t officially retired from the NFL, and his practice with the Panthers shows.
