New York Yankees once lost to the Boston Red Sox, resulting in their 3-0 record in series finale. During the start of the season, the team performed well, but last month and the ongoing one, they lost back-to-back matches resulting in 16 of their last 22 games.

GM Aaron Boone admitted the team needs to perform better, but wasn’t able to give a satisfactory answers as the fans blasted him for lack of strategizing before hand. The whole reason of the Yankees losing their latest match can easily be summed up in two words – Rafael Devers.

Devers absolutely blasted the Yankees with HRs, the most fatal hit being in the seventh and ninth innings. Saturday, the team won against Boston Red Sox with a 14-4 win, however, they failed to carry out the fan expectations.

The 3x All-Star scored two runs against their NY rivals, and driven two runs for insurance for their win. Overall, the New York Yankees pitching failed terribly which has been Boone’s concern over the past few weeks. When asked about their latest team performance, Aaron Boone commented,

It feels terrible…but it’s all right there in front of us. This is not the time to feel sorry for yourself, it’s the time to try and get guys going.

He further added that the Yankees have “invested a lot” into strategizing against Rafael Devers, but “he’s a great player.” “We’d like to do a better job against him,” but for now the focus reshifts on the six game road trip to Tampa Bay and Baltimore Orioles.

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone’s quote, “It’s all right there in front of us” enraged the entire fan base as they recall him saying it even a year back. Unfortunately, the timing sucks for the team who has lost a lot of matches lately and was even criticized by Aaron Judge’s personal hitting coach Richard Schenck on team development management.

Schenck called out the team for losing 13 out of 18 earlier matches “while he’s (Aaron Judge) is hitting like an MVP.” However, neither Judge nor Boone commented on this matter. This month, the Yankees have won only one of the five matches, as they sit three games behind the Baltimore Orioles.

Fans commented about the recent loss on social media. Especially when Boone said how they could not come up with a strategy against Rafael Devers, one X user noted, “It’s not rocket science…WALK HIM. Get fired you clown.” While another said, “Here we go again with the right in front of us bull crap.”

Some even questioned if the team is even serious about getting a Cup as their performance has been downgrading a lot lately. Following their season finale loss, the Yankees will face the Rays and Orioles before the All-Star break begins.
