Merab Dvalishvili is the craziest UFC champion today, always full of energy and doing wild things for fun. The Georgian star loves adventures and often takes risks that keep both him and his fans excited all the time. Whether he’s fighting in the cage or doing stunts outside, Dvalishvili knows how to keep people watching him.

While other fighters focus on training camps, Dvalishvili was busy doing pull-ups from a dangerous cliff in a viral video. Fans watched in shock as he hung from the edge, performing several pull-ups before safely climbing back down the cliff. Most coaches would panic seeing such risk, but for the champ, living on the edge seems completely normal and fun.

In the past, Dvalishvili was seen sprinting up a steep mountain, slipping and jumping with remarkable agility. Additionally, he once jumped into a frozen lake during a winter run, misjudging the ice’s thickness, which led to facial injuries. Furthermore, during a visit to India, he spontaneously engaged in wrestling matches with locals on a Mumbai beach.

On top of that, Dvalishvili finds the worst time to get into such activities with his fights being close. Last year before his title fight against Sean O’Malley at UFC 306, the fighter was injured with a small cut. This prompted a strong reaction from UFC CEO Dana White who was concerned about the fight being cancelled.

Currently, ‘The Machine’ is set to defend his bantamweight title against O’Malley at UFC 316. Fans are backing Dvalishvili to win, thanks to his incredible undefeated streak and relentless pressure inside the octagon during every fight. Still, O’Malley’s knockout power makes him a dangerous threat, capable of ending the fight with just one punch.

Fight fans react to Merab Dvalishvili’s latest stunt over the cliff edge

Merab Dvalishvili has built his career by beating some of the biggest names in the bantamweight division with dominance. He ran through legends like Jose Aldo, Henry Cejudo, and Petr Yan using his relentless pace and wrestling-heavy style inside the cage. In his most recent fight, the Georgian faced Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin, Umar and pulled off a shocking victory against all odds.

He humiliated Team Khabib and mocked Nurmagomedov for five rounds, finally winning the bout via unanimous decision. This fight helped in changing the narrative against the champion, who was previously deemed boring. Nevertheless, here are some reactions from the fighter’s latest viral video.

As expected, many fans were surprised by Merab Dvalishvili’s stunt and showed concern about his safety. Others joked about him putting Dana white’s main event at risk. Nevertheless, things like this are extremely common for him and many have already accepted it.

Can Sean O’Malley beat Merab Dvalishvili in the rematch?

Sean O’Malley has a real chance to beat Merab Dvalishvili in the rematch if he adjusts his defensive tactics properly. Their last fight saw the ‘Machine’ dominate with relentless pressure and takedowns, winning a clear decision and proving his unmatched cardio. O’Malley’s team insists he was not fully healthy, which limited his ability to move freely and defend takedowns consistently well.

With focused training on takedown defense and maintaining distance, O’Malley can exploit his striking edge and frustrate Dvalishvili’s rhythm. Still, the champ’s nonstop pace and dominant grappling remain major threats, and he’ll be favored unless O’Malley shows drastic improvement.
