All in all, it does seem like Shane McMahon is headed to AEW. Following a previous meeting with Tony Khan, Shane-O-Mac has now caught up with AEW EVPs, The Young Bucks. If only the rumors of a McMahon partnering with WWE’s rival promotion had fizzled out, they’ve once again picked up. Interestingly, one thing that’s been common in Shane’s all link-ups with AEW names is airports.

In late July, the 54-year-old business magnate hit the headlines for partaking in a tรชte-ร -tรชte with AEW president Tony Khan. They met via a common friend and had a fruitful conversation in the lounge of an airport, as confirmed by Khan in the following weeks. Even though Tony said he hasn’t met McMahon ever since then, fans continue to refuse that they met without a purpose.

What first got the ball rolling in terms of Shane’s reported interest in AEW was when he bumped into Mercedes Mone following the Forbidden Door PPV at the LaGuardia airport in New York. She later added that Shane gave her his number before he went on to board his flight. Mone didn’t reveal too much, saying she’d like to keep the rest as a mystery.

The reigning AEW TBS Champion implicitly took the responsibility of clicking Khan’s meeting with Shane, which Tony disputed, saying it was a case of an airport staff member photographing them. Nonetheless, the toll now stands at three regarding Shane-O-Mac’s meetings with key AEW figures.

The latest one with EVPs Matt and Nick Jackson will only add more to the ongoing speculation of Shane possibly landing a role with All Elite Wrestling. Current AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson has already said he’s open to doing business with McMahon.

Fans offer their two-cents on Shane McMahon catching up with The Young Bucks

As expected, the Shane McMahon photo drop with The Young Bucks has got the netizens going gaga. There are many who firmly believe that it’d lead to McMahon’s arrival in AEW. One noted that the potential faceoff between Vince McMahon‘s son and Christian Cage will be must-see TV.

Another fan said that if Shane actually becomes ‘All Elite’, then it’d prove that he has clearly incorporated the psyche from his mother, Linda, instead of Vince.

Not everyone thinks Shane would actually partner with AEW, with one even lamenting the fact that he’s now the only spark the company has. Jr. McMahon was last seen on WWE television at WrestleMania 39, where he inadvertently tore his quads seconds into his match with The Miz.
