However, NBA fans always compare the two stars, leading to numerous debates and controversies. Interestingly, James recently appeared on the New Heights Show podcast, speaking about various stories.

During an interview on the podcast, James finally revealed the specifics of his notorious ‘pickup game’ with Michael Jordan. James began by describing how hard it was for him to play with some of the greatest legends in the game. Nobody could have predicted how tremendous James’ legacy would become at the time, before his 22-year NBA career came to fruition.

“I was unguardable, said James. “When I finally got out there, I was like, ‘I’m busting ass.’ I was nervous. I was nervous as hell, being out there with MJ and the rest of those guys. But I was like, ‘Oh, I’m about to go crazy.’ And I did, I did.”

James was a 16-year-old kid when this event took place against the legendary Jordan back then. James claims that because so many NBA players were present, he had to wait hours to get a turn on the court. When he eventually got in, Ron Artest noticed his play and shattered his rib in an attempt to slow him down.

As he did with Jordan and the other NBA greats all those years ago, James is showing what he’s made of this season. James has been averaging 23.7 points, 8.8 assists, and 7.6 rebounds per game on 50.9% shooting. As the league’s most successful and longest-tenured player, James would now be making the decisions in those exclusive games.
