The much-awaited match between Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov was set to take place at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Before the main event, there was an unofficial co-main event featuring Eminem. The legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer introduced him as a “rap god.” However, the audience did not find his performance appealing.
Interestingly, the event planners selected an excellent warm-up gig to energize the crowd for the upcoming main event. The great Michael Buffer greeted Eminem as he took the stage, dressed in a hoodie, chain, and baggy pants. He began his set with the popular song Houdini before transitioning into Rap God. The artist from Detroit performed a medley of his well-known tracks, concluding with the timeless classic Lose Yourself.
Last year, the T-Mobile Arena hosted an intense battle between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford, during which Eminem accompanied Crawford during his entrance. The rapper intensified Crawford’s entrance with his infamous song Lose Yourself. Interestingly, ‘Bud’ is known for his impressive choices in ring entrances, and this particular walkout is considered one of the most remarkable in boxing history.
Although this year, Crawford didn’t get the chance for Eminem to walk him out, still the Rap God performed before Bud’s one of the toughest fights in his career. Eminem performed his chart-topping hits to a sold-out BMO stadium and had the crowd swaying to his tunes. Interestingly, not everyone liked a concert ahead of a boxing main event.
Fans react to Eminem performing ahead of Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov fight
The rapper’s performance drew mixed reactions on the social media handles. In recent times, he has attended many combat sports events and met various fighters. Many claimed it was below par performance. However, some even mentioned the unnecessary addition of an Eminem concert in the middle of the night, ain’t helping the card.

Interestingly, Eminem and Crawford share a great bond between them and have met each other on several accusations. A few loved the idea of seeing both of them at the same venue again. Check out some of the fan reactions below.
This was Riyadh Season’s inaugural US promotional boxing event. Turki Alalshikh‘s decision to bring in Eminem to perform ahead of the main event received widespread acclaim.
