Bill Simmons has wild analogy comparing Stephen Curry's performances

Stephen Curry has built a reputation as a global superstar from a combination of his elite game on the floor as well as his humble demeanor, combined with the swagger he displays on the court. His next-door kid attitude has helped fans relate to him.

That explains why fans and members of the media generally avoid criticizing him. When he goes off on one of his streaky shooting runs, it enthralls fans. Then, when he has a bad night, some do criticize him, but most avoid going after the Golden State Warriors superstar.

That is highly unlike what his Paris Olympic teammates LeBron James and Kevin Durant face. The two are constantly in the crosshairs of both fans and media members. James, in particular, has been in a dead heat against Stephen A. Smith.

Smith and his peers across all networks, though, prefer to criticize other players who surround Curry. In the rare chance that one has to criticize, it is generally about poor play on the court. But no one goes on a run to hate Curry like his peers. Longtime journalist Bill Simmons compares how it is to hate on Stephen Curry.

It’s like hating bl****bs. I mean, how do you have Steph Curry, it’s ridiculous. What’s to hate?

Bill Simmons said

The host of The Bill Simmons Podcast said this as a response to Ryan Russillo, who claimed that the Game 3 performance from Stephen Curry against the Houston Rockets made it a ‘Curry Night’. But he believes not everyone loves a Curry Night. That is when Bill Simmons compared it to declining bedroom pleasure.

Fans lose their minds listening to this comparison from Bill Simmons

Basketball fans listening to this comparison could not believe their ears. They know that Bill Simmons can get a bit frisky at times with his anecdotes, such as when he talked about NFL players dropping balls at the goal line. But that is a double-edged sword that could go either way.

This reference to bedroom pleasure activities as a way to explain how brilliant a night of Stephen Curry playing unbelievable basketball has left fans stunned. Fans believe they have heard all that is to be heard. They believe nothing can top this comparison, which led fans to leave reactions on social media. Check out some of those examples below.

Bill Simmons was trying to explain that Stephen Curry’s performances are such that one should never have anything to hate. Fans do understand the comparison, but also know that his comparison went a bit too far. Such that even Ryan Russillo clasped his face, knowing how far that comparison went.

There was no Game 4 Curry Night in Warriors’ win

Golden State Warriors fans would have liked it if Stephen Curry put on another Curry Night in Game 4. At one point, when the Houston Rockets were standing toe-to-toe, they wished their leading superstar went ballistic.

However, the Rockets remembered what the 37-year-old did to them in Game 3 and tried to lock him down. They sent two defenders are times to throw the superstar off balance. It worked, and they held the Akron native to just seventeen points.

It might not be Curry’s night, but his work on the floor drew Rockets defenders enough for his teammates to wreak havoc. Prime among them was Jimmy Butler, who battled through pain to score crucial points and grab rebounds late in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Now the Warriors go on the road to secure the first round. All they need is to ensure the Rockets do not push the series to Game 7, and they should be fine. Another Stephen Curry Night would be a good method to put the Rockets away for good.
