Inter Miami skipper Lionel Messi’s bodyguard was hilariously beaten to the ground by a pitch invader, who managed to get his hands on the Argentinian star. The incident happened in a friendly featuring the Herons and Panamanian side Sporting San Miguelito.
Lionel Messi’s bodyguard, ex-US Navy SEAL Officer Yassine Chueko, was seen patrolling the sidelines of the pitch, as Inter Miami played at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez. The Argentinian forward, who came off the back of an impressive MLS Supporters’ Shield victory, failed to score in the match. However, the visitors staged a comeback to win 3-1, claiming their third straight pre-season win.
Nonetheless, Messi was the star attraction of the match as thousands of fans gathered to watch him play. The sight of fans racing across the pitch to meet their favorite star is not new. A similar incident occurring during Miami’s match in Panama. A pitch-invader, wearing a Messi No.10 shirt, got up from the stands to run towards the ex-Barcelona star, in order to have a moment with him.

Messi’s six-foot tall bodyguard Chueko, has gained a lot of popularity for tackling fans by ‘spawning out of nowhere.’ Surprisingly, this time, he was beaten by the Panamanian fan. The supporter ended up slipping on his run and escaped his bodyguard. He also tripped Chueko, who hilariously tumbled to the ground. The fan hugged Lionel Messi briefly before he was dragged away by the guard.

Chueko will surely be expecting to not make another mistake during Inter Miami’s upcoming matches. Meanwhile, the Herons’ will next take on Honduras side CD Olimpia and Orlando City. This will be followed by a CONCACF Champions Cup encounter against Sporting Kansas.
