Football fans were left astonished after images of a Shakhtar Donetsk staff went viral for his uncanny facial resemblance with ex-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. The Ukrainian club later clarified that the individual in the images was actually Igor Grskovic.

Jurgen Klopp, who is one of the most loved football managers all across the world, is out of work after deciding to exit Liverpool at the end of the 2023-24 season. The German manager, who had a remarkable nine-year tenure at the club, stepped down citing ‘exhaustion.’ Additionally, the 57-year-old recently suggested that he may not pursue another managerial position, dismissing rumors linking him to England and the USMNT.

However, fans might have found some joy, after images of a Shakhtar Donetsk’s staffer who has a similar appearance to Klopp, emerged on social media. Some even speculated that the ex-Dortmund manager had taken a new role with the Ukrainian team. Shakhtar later clarified that the man in question is actually their masseur-rehabilitation Igor Grskovic, and not Klopp. Additionally, the club shared a picture of the masseur on social media, accompanied by a message.

In a humorous turn of events, some fans insisted that the club was lying and had indeed hired the former Dortmund manager as a staff member. Klopp had recently expressed his interest in pursuing other roles in football administration.

Fans took to social media to share their reaction to the viral images. Many people commented on the uncanny likeness, with some playfully suggesting the man was Klopp in disguise. Another fan humorously recommended that the Shakhtar staff member apply for the England manager position.

Having ended his managerial career, Jurgen Klopp’s future remains uncertain. The German manager was succeeded by former Feyenoord manager Arne Slot at Anfield.
