“It’s time to burn the titles”- Wrestling fans INCENSED over WWE’s next move following Jade Cargill’s serious neck injury

The WWE women’s tag team titles continue to be indicted as cursed. But who’s the culprit this time around? An injury. As seen on SmackDown last Friday, Jade Cargill was mysteriously laid out. It was later reported that the angle was done to cover up a legitimate neck injury that’ll keep Jade out of action for months, or at worst a year.
As a result, WWE will have to strip Cargill’s partner, Bianca Belair, off the women’s tag team gold, per WrestleVotes Radio. That’d put an end to the duo’s near six-month reign. They captured the doubles silverware from Damage CTRL’s Kairi Sane and Asuka back in May at Backlash.
Belair and Jade defended their titles on a number of occasions. A couple of weeks ago on Raw, the champs successfully put away Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Bianca and Cargill did a commendable job at making the tag titles mean something again.
However, the reign has to be cut short with Jade out indefinitely. Speaking of the latter, some conspiracy theories are floating on the internet regarding her assailant. Naomi bore the brunt of it, and she has continued to deny the allegations. Nia Jax recently convinced General Manager Nick Aldis that she wasn’t guilty. However, the Women’s Champion accused Naomi of the same.
The fans are likely to find out who’s behind the attack in the coming days. But for now, WWE has named Jade Cargill‘s replacement in the women’s WarGames match. Joining team Rhea Ripley will be Bayley, who’s got lingering issues with other teammates, including Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky. The Role Model did help Belair gain the advantage over Jax on Raw. It’d be interesting to see how it plays out.
Fans ridicule the cursed state of the WWE women’s tag team titles
Seeing another women’s tag team title reign end this way, the fans couldn’t help but be upset about it. The wrestling circles on social media are more than convinced that these belts are cursed.
A fan raised a valid point though over the necessity of relinquishing them. Previously, when Chelsea Green held the championship alongside Sonya Deville, the latter got injured in no time. But Piper Niven stepped in to replace Deville as the other half of the women’s tag team champion.
A frustrated fellow even called to set those titles on fire. Some have pitched to hold a tournament to crown new winners. There are quite a few women waiting in the wings for an opportunity to burst onto the scenes.
