Fans Are Saying the Same Thing About Joe Burrow’s Bad Pitches at Fanatics Fest: “This is Utterly Embarrassing”
Joe Burrow threw bad pitches at Fanatics Fest, enough to start a conversation on the internet.

Joe Burrow demonstrated why pitching in baseball is not as easy as one might consider. Even a top athlete will find the mechanics hard to master unless they are familiar with them.
Burrow was among the biggest names to show up on day two of Fanatics Fest. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, dressed in black, looked sleek and smart until the organizers asked him to pitch at a makeshift bullpen.
Fans flocked around to witness a few fastballs from the guy who threw over 40 touchdowns last season wearing the Bengals orange. Burrow steadies himself for the first pitch but stops because an overenthusiastic camera guy stepped into his striking zone.
Take two. He checked his feet and threw a fastball that left the crowd speechless. The quarterback who defeated Patrick Mahomes to play in a Super Bowl threw the ball close to the corner instead of hitting the target.

Burrow took several tries, but only hit the target twice.
Fans on social media were stunned to see Joe Burrow’s pitching debacle
Fans are easily influenced by something negative. It did not take long for Burrow to face the heat on social media for an abysmal display.

Despite knowing the requirements for baseball and football are very different, fans weren’t happy with the 28-year-old. They have been spoiled with great dual-sport athletes over the years. One is playing in the NFL right now, and he is a former Heisman Trophy winner like Burrow.
Kyler Murray played both football and baseball at a very high level in college. While the Arizona Cardinals selected him first overall, the Oakland Athletics drafted him 9th overall, but the former Oklahoma ace chose football.
Fans don’t expect Burrow to be as athletic as Murray, but being one of the purest passers in football, he should have performed better than he did at the fest.
for someone who gets paid to throw a ball for a living, this is utterly embarrassing from Joe Burrow pic.twitter.com/wB7MawMkNW

The Bengals fans should rest easy because a couple of wayward pitches are unlikely to impact Burrow. He’s a different beast on the gridiron.
However, fans should be concerned about the Bengals’ handling of Trey Hendrickson. The star pass rusher is holding out for an improved extension, and Burrow is not a fan of it.
Last year we had two [distractions]. This year we have one. That’s definitely less. “You’d love to have none, but, you know, that’s life in the NFL. We’re all supporting Trey and would love for him to be back.
Joe Burrow said
Burrow’s monumental extension impacted the Bengals’ approach to handling large contracts. Last season, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins faced the same issues before becoming the highest-earning wide receiver duo in NFL history.
The Bengals and Burrow need Hendrickson on the defense. He has 57 sacks since joining the AFC North team in 2021. If a deal doesn’t happen before the training camp, they risk losing him for a year to enter free agency next summer, and the Bengals will receive nothing.
