Manchester United’s struggles in the Premier League showed no signs of coming to an end as Nottingham Forest claimed a 3-2 win on Saturday. The Red Devils were second best over 90 minutes against Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side as several mistakes marred the loss.

Errors from Andre Onana, Leny Yoro, Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez contributed to the regrettable result. The game burst to life in the second minute, when United found itself trailing already owing to a Nikola Milenkovic header.

The centre back’s leaping header found the top right corner as Andre Onana stood rooted to his spot. Rasmus Hojlund then pulled his side back into the side with an easy tap-in into an empty net. The second half meant even more trouble for the hosts as the club saw it fall two goals behind in the space of ten minutes.

Morgan Gibbs-White fired his side into the lead after capitalizing from a Bruno Fernandes and Leny Yoro error. Keeper Andre Onana also let in the shot by diving in the opposite direction.

A well-placed header from main man Chris Wood was misjudged by both Onana and Martinez as the ball found the far post. A stellar finish from Bruno Fernandes in the 61st minute gave the hosts hope, although no goals came after the score hit 2-3.

Fans laugh at Ruben Amorim and Manchester United following frustrating loss

After just five games in charge of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim has only picked up one win in the League. After a 2-0 loss to Arsenal, fans’ sentiment towards Amorim has slowly started to change.

A fan commented that Amorim has no clue what he’s signed up for and will struggle for a point till he finally manages to turn things around. Another added that United’s hopes of securing a top four spot will quickly evaporate if the club don’t win the upcoming games.

Many shifted the blame on certain players like Onana, Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez. Many claimed that Erik ten Hag‘s curse is still at the club and that winning games will be a far cry for the club.

Following the loss, United is now in 13th position with 19 points from a possible 45. The club plays its next game against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League before facing defending League champions Manchester City on the 15th of December. With the way things are for Man City, fans can expect an electric clash in the Manchester Derby.
