Tottenham Hotspur fell to 10th in the League standings as Ipswich Town handed them their 5th defeat of the season. With back-to-back losses in the Europa League and Premier League, manager Ange Postecoglou has a lot to fix if they are to climb up in the table.
The game against Ipswich Town saw Spurs get pinned down in their own half from the start, as an early header from the visitors ricocheted off the crossbar. Spurs then went behind in the 31st minute as Sammie Szmodics‘ acrobatic attempt found the net. His bicycle kick eluded Guglielmo Vicario‘s reach and ended up in the back of the net.
Spurs found themselves trailing 2-0 before half-time, as Liam Delap finished off a perfectly executed counterattack. Dominic Solanke‘s goal was chalked off for handball in the second half before Rodrigo Bentancur scored a free header to make it 2-1.

Fans laugh at Tottenham for poor handing Ipswich Town first win of the season
With five defeats and five draws prior to the game against Tottenham Hotspur, not many expected Spurs to lose the game against Ipswich. A fan commented that Spurs should no longer be considered as a big club. Another added that Postecoglou’s side is the Robin Hood of the Premier League, taking points from big teams like Manchester City and giving them to those at the bottom.
Several Spurs supporters called for Postecoglou to be sacked. They claimed he only makes promises but never lives up to them.
Fans also shared a clip of former Arsenal player Harry Clarke showing the middle finger to fans after the win against Spurs. Despite all the embarrassment, a fan found solace in the fact that his club is still a point above Manchester United.

6 points dropped to winless teams is just inexcusable. Another wasted chance before an international break

As things stand, Spurs are in 10th, below Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Fulham. Following the International break, Spurs make the difficult trip to the Etihad, although Postecoglou is known to make easy work of Pep Guardiola‘s Manchester City. City are also in desperate need of a win after four consecutive defeats in all competitions.
