Ange Postecoglou‘s Tottenham Hotspur has been struggling to produce results in their recent Premier League games. Following consecutive draws against AS Roma and Fulham, Spurs couldn’t find the net against the Cherries in 90 minutes.

The only goal of the game came in the 17th minute as Dean Huijsen claimed a headed finish. A whipped in corner from Marcus Tavernier was headed towards goal by the centre back, who later went viral for his unexpected celebration.

The No. 2 faced the crowd and dug his hands in his shorts with a smug expression to recreate the viral ‘chill guy’ meme on social media. Spurs struggled to create chances, with the biggest miss of the game coming from James Maddison.

The Englishman’s shot on the turn went inches wide of the far post, which ultimately came to bite Spurs back at full-time. Following the game, manager Ange Postecoglou had a meltdown with fans in the stands, who booed the 59-year-old. With 20 points from 14 games, Spurs is currently in tenth position.

Fans react to Tottenham Hotspur’s frustrating loss to Bournemouth

With Ange Postecoglou struggling to bring Tottenham Hotspur out of its current slump, a fan commented that time is up for the manager. Another added that Spurs just keep on doing ‘spursy’ things by winning against ‘big’ teams like Manchester City while struggling to produce results against Ipswich Town, Bournemouth and Fulham.

Some even said that Spurs only exist to defeat Pep Guardiola and co. A fan blamed the club’s lack of victories on the fact that it changed the logo.

Many expressed their disappointment at how the club still remains extremely inconsistent this season. Given the club’s poor state, some couldn’t help but fathom how Chelsea will batter Spurs on the weekend.

The Blues are on the back of a spectacular 5-1 win over Southampton and hasn’t known defeat in the last seven games in all competitions. As things stand, Chelsea is in second position behind Liverpool, with 28 points from 14 games. It remains to be seen whether Spurs boss Postecoglou will live up to his claim that he ‘usually wins things’ in his second year.
