Daniil Medvedev gears up for the Madrid Open after tough loss in Monte Carlo

Russian pro-Daniil Medvedev is having a roller-coaster of a year so far. With a few tournament finals and semi-finals, he still hasn’t had a breakthrough thus far. Now that the clay season is well underway, the players are en route to a second Masters 1000 event.

In the first one, the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters, Medvedev had a fallout with the umpire, where he was frustrated due to the many wrong calls.

With the line umpires still in play on the clay courts, the players usually disagree with the umpires over certain calls, and Medvedev had a difference of opinion in his match, triggering him to lose the match.

With that being said, all the top ATP players are set for the Madrid Open to bag the second Masters event on clay ahead of the much-awaited French Open. Well, another exciting week lines up for the fans to see their favorite play on the court.
