Conor McGregor almost had his first taste of action in nearly four years at BKFC 71 in Dubai, U.A.E. An angry fan tried to attack ‘The Notorious’ after the event. Fortunately, security was on hand and intervened to keep the former UFC champ out of trouble.
McGregor Sports & Entertainment officially dipped their toes as equity part-owners during the BKFC “KnuckleMania” 4 card. Ever since, Conor McGregor has been on a global tour promoting bare-knuckle grind. He was on hand at BKFC 68 from inside the Utilita Arena, England.
The Irishman also cut a promo at the BKFC: KnuckleMania 5 pre-fight presser. Rumor has it, UFC litigation is keeping him on lock until an exclusive 2025 broadcast rights deal can be reached in a two-fight deal. Hence, BKFC is where he finds his fight ick at.
The ex-UFC two-division champ has not fought in any capacity since his 2021 TKO leg break to Dustin Poirier. However, MMA promoter duties, ringside chugs, and reposting Ruben Warr’s scintilating 6-second KO at BKFC Fight Night Pechanga has kept him busy.
Per his own version, Conor Mcgregor was itching for a comeback brawl; hence, he was interested when a rowdy fan kept on the charge and threw some hands. Luckily enough, security personnel intervened. Check the whole BKFC 71 incident in the footage below:

McGregor often comes under heavy scrutiny in the combat spectrum for not having an active fighting ballot since 2021. Under the guise of rivalry, many have done that; as have fans of McGregor. However, it is just blatant stupidity to charge at someone proficient in the art of organized violence like Conor McGregor. Fight fans have reacted just as much.

BKFC 71: Trout vs. Trinidad-Snake – taking place at Dubai Tennis Center in United Arab Emirates – had many viral moments. Ex-UFC star Aleksei Oleinik crashed to a brutal KO defeat in his debut, as did once-viral star Tai Emery. Conor McGregor was on hand with the BKFC president for most of it. ‘Mystic Mac’ even hopped the ring bounds to celebrate with winning fighters more than once.

WMMA’s ‘next big thing’ Dakota Ditcheva and Michael ‘Venom’ Page attended the event as well. However, on-hands equity boss Mcgregor made the biggest of highlights when an unruly fan went for him after the event. The Irishman was signing merch for fans and greeting them when the preemptive attack happened behind his back.
A melee broke out, and McGregor did retaliate himself until security personnel took over and bloodied the assailant. The incident went viral on multiple platforms and chatboards. Here is what fans think of it.

Most fans have agreed that while he won’t be punctuating his style striking and ginormous KOs, he is a ‘coke bear’ and an UFC fighter. Hence, it would take a ‘complete moron’ to attack someone like McGregor at a public BKFC event.
McGregor has stalled his combat return even further, announcing an Irish political run. However, a few others have stated that this was a Dubai event, so maybe it was some attention-chasing fan trying to bank in on his Team Khabib rivalry for some clout on the internet.
As for his actual fighting return, there is no new news on that front whatsoever. Hence, past stories of challenges doused and enraged fans would have to do for now.
