Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak showcased his skills and abilities during the exciting 3-3 draw against Liverpool on Wednesday. The 25-year-old’s impressive one-on-one battle with Liverpool skipper Virgil van Dijk was one of the highlights of the match.

In the 35th minute, Alexander Isak received a brilliant pass from Bruno Guimaraes. He then twisted past Virgil van Dijk, leaving the Liverpool skipper shocked, before unleashing a powerful strike from nearly 25 yards out to put his team in front.

Earlier, in the 15th minute, Isak beat Van Dijk effortlessly and dribbled past the Dutchman before sending a cross into the box, which was cleared by Joe Gomez. It gave a glimpse of the Swedish forward’s agility and fearlessness.

Meanwhile, the match saw six goals being scored in total, with sides missing plenty of great opportunities. Despite Newcastle taking a first-half lead, Curtis Jones leveled the score with a brilliant strike in the 50th minute.

Anthony Gordon reinstated the home side’s lead before Mohamed Salah two brilliant goals to make it 3-2 to the Red. Fabian Schar’s 90th-minute goal, however, allowed Newcastle to take a point from the thrilling encounter.

The draw leaves Liverpool still on top of the EPL table with 35 points. Newcastle, on the other hand, are in the 10th position with just 20 points from 14 matches. Meanwhile, Alexander Isak, with a goal and an assist, took his season tally to six goals and three assists.

One fan suggested that it looked like the Swedish forward had a score to settle against Van Dijk. Some fans stated that the Dutchman was not the Premier League’s greatest defender, contrary to Liverpool fans’ claims.
