There’s some breaking news regarding this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony. As first reported by PWInsider, 14-time World Champion and incumbent Chief Content Officer Triple H will headline the Hall of Fame class of 2025. He was caught off guard by its revelation earlier today during a Town Hall at the WWE headquarters.

At the company-wide meeting, The Game was taken aback when his wife, Stephanie McMahon, and a couple of Hunter’s close aides, viz., Shawn Michaels & The Undertaker, spilled the beans on Triple H’s induction. The report adds that the real-life Paul Levesque didn’t expect it and got emotional. He even joked about killing the WWE President, Nick Khan.

For the unversed, Levesque is already a Hall of Famer. However, that honor was bestowed upon him for his exploits in D-Generation X alongside Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, X-Pac, Billy Gunn, and late Chyna. Six years later, The King of Kings will enter the WWE HOF for his illustrious singles career.

Debuting in April 1995, he won fourteen world titles, tying with Randy Orton at the third spot for the most no. of world title reigns. The Cerebral Assassin main-evented a couple of WrestleMania(s)—in 2009 and 2016. And Hunter was victorious in both of them. Unfortunately, after a near-fatal cardiac event in late 2021, Triple H hung up his wrestling boots for good at WrestleMania 38.

A few months later, following Vince McMahon‘s ouster, Levesque assumed the creative reins of WWE. Since then, he’s been steering the ship. Not only that, under his regime, the backstage ambience of the company has turned over a new leaf, as endorsed by legends like The Undertaker.

Fans rave about Triple H’s in-ring WWE career to justify the solo HOF induction

As evident by the following reactions on X, the netizens couldn’t be more happy for Triple H finally getting his due flowers. But as a fan stated, The Game might feel a bit conflated about receiving the HOF induction at a time in his professional career when he’s basically running the shows.

Anyway, as they say—better late than never. Other folks reminisced about their initial memories of Hunter since his days in The Evolution. Regarding him as one of the greatest heels ever, fans claimed that their adulthood has enabled themselves to embrace Paul Levesque as someone they respect.

It’s a far cry from when he used to be loathed by the masses in kayfabe. Some are even predicting who could possibly induct The Cerebral Assassin into the Hall of Fame. Names like Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, etc., are the running favorites.
