English football legend David Beckham heaped praise on Inter Miami star Lionel Messi, revealing some interesting facts about the 37-year-old superstar. To fans’ surprise, he stated that the Argentinian turned up for his first training session very early.
Having signed for Inter Miami in 2023 on a free transfer, Messi has led the Florida side to new heights in US soccer. In his first season, he led the side to the Leagues Cup title. Messi’s second season with the Herons has been a rather successful one, as he captained the club to the MLS Supporters’ Shield, also ending the season on top of the points table.
Despite missing out on most of the matches due to injury, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored 19 goals and provided 12 assists in just 21 matches. Following his recent success with Miami, club owner David Beckham did not hesitate to praise his team’s captain.
In a podcast with former Man Utd star Rio Ferdinand, Beckham said that he was impressed by the Argentinian’s first Inter Miami training session. He surprisingly stated that Messi arrived at 6.50 am, though the training session started only at 10 am. Moreover, he added that Messi trains like a young player, while also praising him for not letting his old habits subside.
On his first day of training, he arrived at 6:50 AM when the team was scheduled for 10. He was there alone, went to the gym, and did his warm-up.

Messi isnt a type of players who would post his working ethic on social media. He just proof things without necessarily make it as a resume on a social media post. Unlike most great players
