Chelsea skipper Enzo Fernandez continued his impressive form this season and scored a brilliant goal for his club in a 4-3 comeback win against Tottenham Hotspur. It marked a major surge in form for the 23-year-old midfielder since making a big-money move to the club.

Enzo Fernandez had struggled to live up to expectations after making a £106 million record transfer from Portuguese side Benfica last year. Under former Chelsea managers Graham Potter, Frank Lampard, and Mauricio Pochettino, he found it difficult to establish himself.

However, with Enzo Maresca’s arrival this summer, the Argentine has enjoyed a turnaround in form. Despite initially spending time on the sidelines, he has now earned his place back into the starting XI, netting back-to-back goals in the Premier League.

Against Spurs on Sunday, the 23-year-old scored a goal via a powerful volley in the 73rd minute to make the score 2-2. Cole Palmer’s pass had deflected off to reach Fernandez’s feet, who rammed it into the bottom corner.

He has now scored two goals and provided three assists in his last four EPL matches. Fernandez is arguably playing the best football of his Blues career. In total, he has nine goal contributions in his last six matches, including his MOTM display against Leicester City.

The London derby ended with Chelsea winning 4-3. Despite Ange Postecoglou’s side taking an early 2-0 lead, Chelsea staged a brilliant comeback. Jadon Sancho, Fernandez, and Palmer scored for the visitors.
