Fans described Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe as ‘lost’, after a video of the French forward being ignored by his club teammates emerged on social media. The incident took place at halftime during Real Madrid’s UCL encounter against Liverpool.

The Los Blancos endured a tumultuous time at the Anfield, losing 2-0, as it marked their third UCL defeat of the season. Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo scored a goal each, as Liverpool claimed a crucial win. Kylian Mbappe’s performance for Madrid stole the headlines, as the 25-year-old had a rather poor outing.

Mbappe played for the entire 90 minutes, ending with just one shot on target throughout the match. The Frenchman was also dispossessed three times and, most importantly, missed a penalty in the 61st minute. What caught fans’ attention was Mbappe being ignored by his Real Madrid teammates in the tunnel at halftime.

The Frenchman was trying to get involved and seemed to initiate a chat with Jude Bellingham. However, the Englishman looked away and quickly switched to discussions with Antonio Rudiger. After failing to get his teammates’ attention, Mbappe leaned against the wall, standing quietly. The ex-PSG star looked disconnected from the rest of the team, both on and off the pitch.

Nonetheless, Mbappe needs to keep performing this season, especially with Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo out with injuries. He has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 18 matches till now. In order to silence doubters, Mbappe needs a stellar performance against Getafe this weekend.

Fans react as Jude Bellingham ignores Real Madrid teammate Kylian Mbappe during Liverpool defeat

Real Madrid fans took to social media to express their reactions to Kylian Mbappe being ignored by his teammates at halftime during a match against Liverpool. The 25-year-old tried to converse with Jude Bellingham in the tunnel, but the Englishman did not take note.

Some fans stated that they felt bad for the Frenchman after taking a glimpse of how he stood alone. A few others questioned his decision to move to Real Madrid, where he has failed to perform. Some Real Madrid fans, however, showed optimism, as they exclaimed that the club would soon overcome these struggles and Mbappe, along with his peers, would win trophies in the future. 

A few fans shared the opinion that the ex-Monaco forward might have been suffering from a mental breakdown, owing to his recent lackluster performances. Mbappe is really low on confidence, since arriving in Madrid in the summer.
