FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for his side in a comfortable 4-1 victory over Sevilla. The 36-year-old veteran forward was hailed by fans for his unending goal-scoring run despite having reached the dawn of his career.
Following their comfortable win over Sevilla, the Catalan club has now jumped back into the La Liga title race. The recent Madrid derby, which ended in a 1-1 draw, opened the door for Barca to make a return to the Spanish league standings.
Veteran forward Robert Lewandowski scored a brilliant goal in just the 7th minute after a short corner to help his side take an early lead. However, Sevilla’s Ruben Vargas cancelled out his opener just a minute later. From then on, Barcelona went on a goal-scoring rampage. Lewandowski took his season tally to 31 goals and three assists in 33 matches. No other player from Europe’s top five leagues has scored more goals this season than the 36-year-old Polish number nine. He also became the first player to score 19+ goals in his first 22 La Liga matches of a season since Lionel Messi in the 2019-20 season.
He's 35 and he's still dominating Europe.

Heavily underrated in today's world.
Meanwhile, Barcelona had to play the last 30 minutes of the match with a man down. Midfielder Fermin Lpez was sent off in the 62nd minute for a nasty challenge on Djibril Sow. He had only come on as a substitute to replace injured Ronald Araujo early in the match.

Moreover, it could very well be Robert Lewandowski’s last season at FC Barcelona with the club looking for an effective number nine to replace the veteran forward. He could be on his way out to the MLS or the Saudi PL.
