Ruben Amorim picked up his first win in the Premier League as Manchester United manager following the 4-0 defeat of Everton. It was the Red Devils’ first win by a four-goal margin since Erik ten Hag took charge of the club that now sits 9th in the league standings.
Man Utd have drawn Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup this year. Mikel Arteta‘s team is in spectacular form, having recently demolished West Ham United 5-2.
The match-up means that Ruben Amorim will face a significant challenge after games against Ipswich Town, Bodo/Glimt, and Everton. As expected, the Portuguese manager isn’t looking to back away from the challenge as he sent a strong message to his players.
Amorim also praised his opponents as the ‘best side’ his team will have faced until now. Despite the 4-0 win against Everton, he said that the game was a ‘difficult’ test for his side.
