A video of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola emerged on social media, showing the 53-year-old manager getting into a heated altercation with a fan. He looked ready to violently confront a fan but was held back by two members of his entourage.

The 24-second clip featuring Pep Guardiola has gone viral, showing the Man City boss walking past fans with a few bags. While the manager was pacing away, a fan, upon being ignored, mocked him by asking whether he was trying to run away after the club’s defeat.

It immediately provoked Guardiola, who turned around to approach the unnamed fan. However, two individuals accompanying the Spaniard manager restrained him from making a move towards the fan, and made attempts to calm down the situation.

Guardiola, while he was being led away, responded to the mocking by angrily inquiring whether the fan understood what a defeat means. He was being filmed all the while. Some suggested that the incident might have occurred following Man City’s recent 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.

However, the video is an old one, associated with City’s FA Cup defeat to rivals Manchester United in May this year. Nonetheless, Guardiola has been under a lot of pressure lately, owing to the club’s seven match win-less run.

Man City’s win-less run ended with their 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the EPL. However, it has been a stressful time for the manager. He most recently embroiled himself in controversy after making a six-finger gesture towards ‘chanting’ Liverpool fans.
