IShowSpeed has been criticized by tennis fans online after making an appearance at the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The popular American streamer made his presence known on the court during Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz’s semi-final clash at the tournament.
The Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament is not part of the ATP, but it has attracted more attention this year than the first edition in 2024. This year, several celebrities have been invited to grace the event, including Shaquille O’Neal and IShowSpeed. IShowSpeed took part in a Q&A session with Jannik Sinner on the opening day of the event.
He was also spotted during one of Alcaraz’s practice sessions at the tournament, and he had an interaction with him. However, he took pictures with Alcaraz and Fritz before the start of their semi-final clash as the organizers hope his influence will help attract more fans to the tournament in Saudi Arabia.
Alcaraz began his match against the American with full aggressiveness and grit, beating the World No.4 at his game, while forcing him to make errors. But Fritz did well to show some fighting spirit, the kind he showed in their encounter at the Laver Cup in September, when he defeated Alcaraz in straight sets.
But Alcaraz was having none of it this time, and immediately broke him; it almost looked over for the American star. The second set was much easier for Alcaraz as he took full control of the match, hitting a variety of shots in rallies that confused Fritz most of the times.
Alcaraz went on to beat Fritz 6-4, 6-2 to reach the final of the exhibition tournament for the second consecutive year. Fans on social media were entertained by Alcaraz’s performance and victory, but weren’t pleased with the presence of IShowSpeed, as many of them pointed out that he had no association with the sport. Here are some of the fans’ reactions on X:
Speed takes Saudi money.

I really did feel like Speed was authentic but how can you say that while in the middle of taking Saudi Arabia money to promote Riyadh Season? That country has tortured people just for the act of being gay, and taking their cash is supposed to come off as authentic? https://t.co/FgWbrZYjww

Alcaraz will now go on to face Sinner in the final of the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament. The two stars are meeting for the second consecutive final at the event, with Sinner winning their first encounter in straight sets last year. Nonetheless, Alcaraz has dominated the Italian star this season, winning four of their five meetings.
Carlos Alcaraz reveals which season has been the best in his career
Carlos Alcaraz began the season with a quarter-final finish at the Australian Open, a tournament he was one of the favorites to win. However, he bounced back at the Rotterdam Open, winning his first title of the season. But his 2025 season took an upward trajectory at the Monte Carlo Masters and after that reached the finals of six consecutive tournaments.

Alcaraz won the Rome Masters, French Open, Queen’s Club Championships, Cincinnati Open, US Open, and the Tokyo Open. He’s currently at the top of the ATP rankings and looks likely to end the year as World No.1. During an interview at the Six Kings Slam, he revealed that the 2025 season has been his best so far in his career:
I’ve had great moments both on and off the court. This has been my best season so far, without a doubt. If I had to pick one moment… I’m not sure, it’s hard to choose. Winning Roland Garros was amazing. In Monte Carlo, I came off a loss in Miami and was able to recover mentally and physically to play great tennis again.
Alcaraz will now seek to cap the year by winning the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals in Turin. He has never won either of the tournaments in his career or even reached the final. The reason for that has been that he struggles in indoor hard-court tournaments. He will be hoping to win the two titles for the first time in his career.
