Last weekend, fans witnessed the rise and emergence of a brand-new undisputed super middleweight champion when Terence Crawford defeated Canelo Alvarez. It turned out to be an incredible display of boxing skills and tactical strategy, which left the Mexican superstar completely unable to counter.

Going into the bout, Crawford was considered the underdog, but he proved everyone wrong by delivering the most stunning performance possible. This win has cemented Crawford’s status as one of the greatest boxers of all time, with fans comparing him to Floyd Mayweather.

Since that incredible victory, Crawford has already received several strong call-outs from different fighters who are determined to face him next. Surprisingly, one of them is none other than UFC veteran Nate Diaz, who has left MMA and started boxing professionally.

Nate Diaz was present at the Allegiant Arena and witnessed the Alvarez versus Terence Crawford fight live while seated inside the stands. He also clicked pictures with legendary WWE figure The Undertaker and boxing star Ryan Garcia, which quickly went viral. However, it now appears that the Stockton native doesn’t only want to spectate but instead join the action soon.

Diaz’s last outing came against his former UFC rival Jorge Masvidal, a fight that took place last year in California. The Stockton fighter won that contest, and since then, he has been actively calling out several top combat sports celebrities. He has also previously shared the boxing ring with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, ultimately losing the fight via unanimous decision.

Despite already being 40 years old, Diaz has openly mentioned that he still wants to return to UFC and fight. He has also spoken confidently about his potential trilogy showdown against former champion Conor McGregor at the White House event. Diaz remains a massive superstar within the MMA community because of his unapologetic personality, but the Terence Crawford callout didn’t please fans.

Terence Crawford’s performance against Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez was extremely impressive, receiving praise and recognition from several top sports personalities. ‘Bud’ remained humble in his victory, sincerely thanking his fans and Alvarez for giving him the opportunity. The Mexican superstar wasn’t salty after suffering the tough loss and instead gave ‘Bud’ all the respect he truly deserved.

UFC CEO Dana White was the official promoter of this mega fight, which marked the inaugural event for TKO Boxing. Because of his involvement in the event, many fans have already expected potential crossover bouts featuring boxers against UFC superstars. Nevertheless, here are several reactions that followed Nate Diaz’s callout directed toward Terence Crawford immediately after the Alvarez fight.

As expected, many fans immediately trolled Diaz for even considering the idea of calling someone like Crawford for boxing. Fans quickly reminded the Stockton veteran that he had already lost to Jake Paul, proving his boxing skills are not impressive. While Diaz seemingly holds no chances, current UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria appears to have a great opportunity against Terence Crawford.

The last time fans saw a UFC champion fight an undefeated boxer was when Conor McGregor shared the ring with Floyd Mayweather. It turned out to be the second biggest boxing event of all time, with around $600 million in revenue. Topuria is a huge star, but Dana White doesn’t seem to want UFC fighters competing against boxers at the moment.

Meanwhile, Nate Diaz has eagerly awaited his next fight for a while now. If he does not receive an offer to fight on the White House card, fans expect the Stockton native to return against another veteran of the sport similar to his boxing ventures against Masvidal and Paul.
