Things aren’t looking great for Marcus Rashford as he was once again at the receiving end of some serious criticism. Trying to shake off his disappointment for not getting selected in the England squad, he wanted to have a week for himself. When he was spotted at the NBA game between the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets at the Madison Square Garden, fans expressed their frustration on social media.
As England handed a pounding to Ireland in their latest Nation’s League clash, Marcus Rashford wasn’t a part of the side. With no games for Manchester United in the weekend and not being a part of the English squad, Marcus Rashford flew down all the way to USA and savored the all-important fixture between the Nets and Knicks.
If his presence in the NBA game wasn’t already a headache for the fans, his outfit and accessories irked them further. Supporters pointed out that Rashford wore unnecessarily additional jewellery and even had a gold grillz on his teeth.
Rashford’s current form at Manchester United was even a bigger bother for the fans, considering the fact that he has only scored four goals from the 14 games that he has played. Alongside the four netters, he has also carved three assists in the ongoing season.

The clash between the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets that Marcus Rashford went to watch was won by the former in thrilling fashion. A stunning showdown from Jalen Brunson, who registered 37 points, spearheaded the charge for Knicks, while it was Cam Thomas, who hammered home 43 points for the Brooklyn Nets.
Fans react to Marcus Rashford attending NBA game
Netizens poured out their vitriol against the England striker on social media platform X. Even though a few came out in support of the striker, stating that it wasn’t only the youngster himself but other stars too who were present.
Other fans pointed out that it is sad that his off-field life is getting more spotlight than his on-ground game. However, it wasn’t just criticism for Rashford, as a few fans stated that they loved his style too.
With mixed bag reactions being there, fans mostly regretted his poor form in the last couple of seasons. Under Ruben Amorim, it is going to be interesting to see what should be his role for Manchester United.

Man who is not interested in playing football again. Like lingard, he would go the exact way and we'll forget about him

Instead of him to be focusing on his game and getting better here is him dressing like a pimp and walking around NY looking like a wannabe thug

Rashford courtside at a Knicks game? It’s funny how his off-pitch antics are getting more attention than his performances on the field lately. Maybe he should focus more on his game than his celebrity status.

Manchester United will be hopeful of continuing their newfound form in recent times. As they registered two consecutive wins, one against PAOK while the other against Leicester City, the Red Devils will be eyeing another clinical victory against Ipswich Town on coming Sunday.
In the first interview given by Ruben Amorim, he underlined the fact that Manchester United is the ‘engine’ of Premier League and he is willing to do anything in order to restore the club to its former glory.
