“Waste of Cena’s time”- Wrestling fans go BERSERK at WWE reportedly having John Cena face $150 million worth influencer at WrestleMania 41

Slowly, but anyhow, the fans have embraced the fact that 2025 will be John Cena‘s last year as an active WWE wrestler. He’d already announced a full-fledged retirement tour that’s about to kick off. The upcoming WrestleMania in Las Vegas is going to be the last one Cena wrestles in. As per Viper of PW Nexus, he could face Logan Paul.
The report noted that Cena vs. Paul is 100% on the table to happen next year. There’s a heavy possibility that they might lock horns at The Showcase of the Immortals itself. However, as of writing, the match isn’t set in stone to go down in April at the two-night extravaganza in Sin City. A previous heads-up from WrestleVotes indicated that both Cena and Paul are on board to work this program.
At one point, there were also talks of WWE giving a shot to The Cenation Leader chasing his record-breaking 17th world title reign. It’d have pitted him against either of the world champions at the Allegiant Stadium. There’s no word on if those plans fell through. Anyways, John Cena is on track to do about 40 dates globally as part of his farewell stretch.
Recently, WWE Head of Talent Relations, Chris Legentil, stated in an interview that John is committed to a full-time schedule before riding off into the sunset. Multiple top stars have been jockeying to make the cut for Cena’s bucket list of combatants.
That includes CM Punk, Randy Orton, and Cody Rhodes, to name a few. It’d certainly be a choice if Logan Paul trumped them to squeeze out a WrestleMania showdown with the Peacemaker actor. The Maverick, despite knitting a retirement hoax, is back with WWE on their Raw roster.

As one would expect, the WWE Universe is totally against John Cena taking on Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41 if that’s indeed the way forward. One fan said that it’d be a complete waste of the WWE legend’s time.
An alternative calls for their bout to descend at a future PLE in Saudi Arabia. Some ideal replacements whom the fans want John to compete against are Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton. The latter might get a preference considering his career-long history with The Franchise Player.
As alluded to above, most of the fans want to see The Babe Ruth of WWE break Ric Flair‘s 16-time world champion record at WrestleMania. At this point, the 47-year-old is due to be present for the Netflix premiere of Raw on January 6. It’d be interesting to see who ends up in his crosshairs on that given night.
