Several Indian athletes like Virat Kohli, Saina Nehwal, Hima Das and Bajrang Punia have wished their fathers a Happy Father’s Day today, on 20th June. Many athletes showed their gratefulness and dedicated their successes as well as their achievements to their fathers on this special day.
The Indian sports Minister, Kiren Rijiju also wished his father. In a heartwarming statement he said, “In India, we live in a traditional family system where every day is #FathersDay for us.
Since everyone is talking about it, I’m celebrating with my father’s photo taken at Gulmarg, Kashmir in 1978! A simple soul living with basic need without any greed.”

Skipper Virat Kolhi wrote, “Happy father’s day to all the father’s all across the world. Of all the wonderful things that God has blessed me with, being a father is by far the greatest joy and blessing . As I miss my old man this day, I also celebrate our memories together.”
Sprinter Hima Das dedicated her determination to her father, “Many people ask from where I get this grit and determination to do well, it’s all because of you dad. He’s always there for me and keep motivating me.”
Cricketer Krunal Pandya wrote in a heartbreaking tweet, “Dear Papa, not a day goes by where we don’t think about you. We still haven’t gotten over the fact that you’re not with us anymore and we miss you more with every second gone by. Happy #FathersDay ❤️ We love you and we miss you.”
Indian Women’s Hockey team captain Rani Rampal said, “Coming from a small village and considering family circumstances in my childhood days I never thought I will be able to reach at this stage where i am today.
