Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have stepped up preparation for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they seek to comeback from the disastrous season last year. It was only thanks to three consecutive wins towards the end that helped them avoid the wooden spoon that seemed to definitely be theirs at one point.
CSK have lost Josh Hazlewood this season due to the Aussie pacer deciding to focus on the Sheffield Shield and the Australian season ahead. The search for a replacement continues for CSK and according to reports Reece Topley and Billy Stanlake have turned down an offer. Meanwhile, the side can also choose from the net bowlers who took part in the auction and that they have including Hardus Viljoen.
Watch – Fazalhaq Farooqi bowls with excellent control
Chennai Super Kings roped in two Afghanistan youngsters to bowl at the nets for the upcoming edition of the IPL. They were left-arm pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi and left-arm leg spinner Noor Ahmad. The former is just 20 years of age while the latter is 16. The two have taken to the nets already and if a video that has been posted online is anything to go by, Farooqi has already been impressive.
