FC Barcelona take on Paris Saint-Germain at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on April 16th. The Blaugrana pulled off a remarkable victory on enemy soil in the first leg to spice things up ahead of the decider. Despite a strong showing from the visitors, Barcelona were subject to abuse and slurs when the club’s youngsters took to the pitch prior to the first leg.

As former Barcelona man Ousmane Dembele makes his return to former club Barcelona, fans have made the Frenchman feel that there’s no love lost between the two! Clips have gone viral on social media, in which Barcà fans are seen hurling abuse and insults against both PSG and Dembele. The PSG winger upsetted the Barcà crowd by emphatically celebrating his goal against them in the second leg.

Barca boss Xavi labels Wednesday’s clash a ‘football war’!

If FC Barcelona are to make an entry into the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, Xavi Hernandez understands that his club will have to fend off an extremely difficult PSG side. Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and the rest will be out for blood after the disappointing result at Parc des Princes. Barca boss Xavi stated that his team will play attacking football in the second leg.

We want to want to take the ball away from PSG and then attack. It will be a massive football war. We are ready to compete against one of the best teams in the world.
Xavi Hernandez said in a press conference ahead of the game

With Real Madrid having almost ‘ran away’ with the La Liga title, an unexpected UEFA Champions League title will be the most easy route for Xavi’s men to claim silverware this season.

If they are to overcome PSG, they will have to take on the victors of Borussia Dortmund vs Atletico Madrid, and with the Spanish side sitting on a 2-1 lead, it won’t be a surprise if fans witness an all-Spanish semi-final.
