After an eternity of waiting, Italian forward Federico Chiesa played a full match for Liverpool that came against PSV Eindhoven. The league leaders at the end of the group stages did secure a lead from the penalty spot, which was won by Chiesa. Despite earlier links of Chiesa with other European clubs doing the rounds, Chiesa’s performance was a solid statement for the Reds.
When asked after the game, Federico Chiesa expressed his gratitude to the Liverpool boss, Arne Slot. He made it clear that he was in desperate need of the 90 minutes, which he got against Eindhoven. He clearly expressed his desire to be a part of the Liverpool team while underlining the room for improvement.
Chiesa was a promising prospect when he was scouted from Juventus. In 54 appearances for Juventus, he went on to score 11 goals. However, since coming to Liverpool, he has only managed to play three games so far, one of which came against PSV Eindhoven. There were rumours that Chiesa wasn’t happy at Liverpool, and other European clubs were hot on his heels.

The latest statement from Chiesa will come as a much-needed relief for Slot and his men. Liverpool. who were undefeated in the group stages until the last game, posted a rippling performance in the ongoing UEFA Champions League. From eight games, they registered seven wins, scoring 17 goals while conceding five.
Jurgen Klopp names superstars whom he would have bought at Liverpool if offered unlimited money
Former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp was at an event at the M&S Bank Arena. It was a thank-you tribute to the Liverpool boss, where he named three players he would have brought to Anfield if they had unlimited money. However, as an undernote, Klopp pointed out that he was happy with the side he had.

Klopp also revealed that Liverpool did have discussions of landing these superstars. Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out in the way he had anticipated. He underlined how the disagreement and the lack of mutual timings between the club and him led to the superstars heading in their own individual directions.
