She understands the big picture. So she views it understanding her celebrity, No. 1. But No. 2, she’s a Midwest kid, a Midwest person and she is who she is. She tries to live her life in an authentic way. But she’s very much Taylor Swift 2.0.

Stephanie White told The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch

To make it clearer, the Fever coach added that Caitlin Clark was who she was because of her hard work and tedious practices on herself. Speaking of her response to the immense stardom, White credited her for handling it better than most 23-year-olds. The multitude of her fans’ fascination can exceed at some points, leading Stephanie to quip how can the team help her navigate it.

Caitlin Clark was the No. 1 overall pick by Indiana in the 2024 WNBA Draft before she was named a WNBA All-Star and the Rookie of the Year. However, her interaction with prominence began in Iowa when she became the NCAA’s all-time leading Division I scorer for men and women. What started even before that was her idolizing Taylor Swift. She has also attended several of her concerts with her friends and once with the singer’s boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Sharing the feeling of fangirling was unbelievable for the WNBA star who has grown up watching and loving the Chiefs. She further gushed about the billionaire singer’s humbleness about her social status and proved that people in their position could. Additionally, she emphasized that famous people were also “normal people” who sometimes ‘don’t have normal lives’.
