This season was supposed to be the Indiana Fever’s turn to fight for a championship. The front office surprised WNBA fans by bringing in top players in the offseason to surround Caitlin Clark with the best roster she can have.
However, they probably did not account for injuries to their star point guard. After her first quad strain, they scrambled to get a replacement ready in the form of Aari McDonald. Her addition seemed to bring some stability, but the Fever still needed their primary playmaker.
Then the second injury happened, and again the team was left struggling to put together a winning run. And then the third injury left fans wondering if the Fever’s season would go to waste as they might not be good enough to compete with the best.
The current injury seemed serious after Caitlin Clark’s eyes welled up when she winced in pain. The franchise recommended she visit specialists so that they can formulate a proper recovery plan and not rush her return.
They already ruled her out of the game against the Las Vegas Aces earlier, which meant she was still not ready. Before the game, the franchise came out with an update about their primary playmaker.
Caitlin Clark underwent further medical evaluations earlier this week, which confirmed that no additional injuries or damage were discovered. Clark will continue working with the medical team on her recovery and rehabilitation, with the priority on her long-term health and well-being. There is no timetable available for her return.

This post confirms that the Indiana Fever will not take any chances this time and will focus on a full recovery. It is unlikely that Caitlin Clark will be playing basketball anytime soon.
Caitlin Clark gets animated on missed foul calls
By now, it has become clear as night and day that Caitlin Clark loves to talk to officials. Whether she is playing or not, the 23-year-old makes it a point to question certain calls.
With the Las Vegas Aces in the building, her animated self was again on full display. Early in the game, it seemed to her as if her team were not getting a fair shot by the officials. In one play, Lexie Hull was called for a foul on Jackie Young.

Clark jumped off her seat and had her hands over her head as she screamed at the official. In another play, teammate Aliyah Boston did not get a similar foul while shooting from near the rim. This time again, the point guard was livid, jumping on the sidelines and hurling words at the officials.

Even though she cannot play, the Iowa native is as dialed in as an elite basketball player can get. She wanted to make sure the officials knew the Fever were not getting a fair shot in the game.
Caitlin Clark witnesses Fever win with second half blitz
If Caitlin Clark felt that the Indiana Fever were not getting fair officiating in the 1st half, she seemed to not have any complaints in the 2nd. From the start of the 3rd quarter, her teammates had their feet pinned on the gas pedal.

On both offense, they did not force shots, and took the game as it came to them. On defense, they clamped down on the Aces, forcing them to miss shots. However, in the fourth quarter, the Aces tried to initially spark a run.
But the Fever went right back at them and stifled their progression. With just a minute left in the game, the Aces were just 5 points away and could still win it. The Fever were on their toes, and Aari McDonald gathered a loose ball.

She then dribbled back, jab stepped forward to create space, stepped back, and drained a 3-pointer. That shot sealed the Fever’s 80-70 win. They looked lost against the New York Liberty in their last game, but in this one, they proved they can keep fighting until Caitlin Clark returns.
