FIFA 23: How to Fix Controls Not Saving Problem for PC

FIFA 23 has had some issues since its release, most of them on PC. This should be a big year for PC gamers, as games are finally bundled with current generation features. However, due to a huge number of bugs and glitches for various reasons, very few players have been able to have a smooth gaming experience in FIFA 23.

There is a serious problem being faced by the PC players with the controls. Due to the mechanics of FIFA 23, it is recommended to play the game with keyboard shortcuts customized to the player’s taste. However, this is not possible if customized controls are constantly being reset.

There is a Solution to Get Past the Controls Not Saving Issue in FIFA 23

Players should be able to save their customized control layouts and have the game remember them for future games, but inexplicably, many players have their settings get reset.

This will force the player to set the controls each time the game starts. To fix this problem, you must first change the controls to your liking. This can be done in FIFA 23 by selecting and adjusting your controller settings.

This allows the player to make any desired changes. Once this is done, the player must save their progress, and here comes the problem. Selecting a destination saves the changed controls to the slot, but it does not save due to an error. The best way to avoid the error is to manually save the in-game controls.

Once you have completed modifying the FIFA 23 controls, you will be prompted to save the changes. There is an ’empty’ slot and you must select a slot to save your custom controls.

Then you have to go back and save again manually. This is an important step to ensure that your control mappings are preserved. Selecting an empty slot automatically saves the modified control.

However, sometimes this does not happen and the only solution is for the player to manually save again. Following these steps will prevent the controls from resetting when players exit the game, saving them a lot of time and frustration.
