Find Out: Top 8 seeds at the Stuttgart Open 2021

The Stuttgart Open, also known as the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is a WTA 500 tournament scheduled to be held from the 19th of April to the 25th of April on the clay courts in Stuttgart, Germany. 

The defending Champion for the event is Petra Kvitova, who won the title back in 2019. The last edition of the tournament, in 2020, was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.

Ash Barty the top seed has been in good form in the recent past, she has won the Miami Open. Her clay court season though didn’t get off to the perfect start as she was ousted in the Quarter-finals of the Charleston Open. She will be looking to make amends.

The second seed at this event is Simona Halep, who is a great player on clay, having won the French Open in 2018. The third seed is Sofa Kenin, who came back from an appendix surgery in Miami, and will be hoping to start her clay court season well.

The fourth seed is Elina Svitolina who is slowly beginning to get back her form back. The fifth seed is Aryna Sabalenka who had a wonderful return to the tour post pandemic, and won three WTA Titles. The sixth seed is Pliskova, who has won this title back in 2018. The seventh seed Kvitova is the defending champion, and one of the favourites. The eighth seed is Canadian Belinda Bencic. Other players to watch out for will be Angelique Kerber who won the event twice in 2015 and 2016. Another past winner, in 2017, present in the draw is Laura Siegemund
