Titles have been changing hands quite frequently in WWE lately. Despite championships being defended both on PLEs and weekly television, the World Tag Team titles haven’t had a prominent presence on-screen. The WWE Universe was flabbergasted with this unexpected move, and it seems the champions are facing criticism.
One of the major problems fans have with this reign is that the reigning champions, The Judgment Day, have not even once defended their titles. Finn Balor reacted to this and quoted that they have been champions for over 72 days. He pointed out that their reign still counts in the record books even when they are not putting their titles on the line. The Prince called it a “smart” move.

Moreover, Balor, along with his tag team partner JD McDonagh, have been quite busy with The Judgment Day’s problems. A few weeks after winning the titles, the former NXT Champion turned his back on Damian Priest. In fact, Dominik Mysterio also backstabbed Rhea Ripley. It led to a civil war among the members of the group.
This feud has indirectly hampered the relevance of the World Tag Team Championships. Additionally, there is a notable lack of depth in Raw’s tag team division. Therefore, the reign has become stale and boring. Initially, it seemed that Jey Uso and Sami Zayn were pegged in for a title match. However, WWE abruptly dropped plans for the Bloodline duo’s championship bout.
Possible direction for Finn Balor and the new Judgment Day post Bash in Berlin
The Judgment Day led by Finn Balor is on a path to assert dominance on Raw. With them being on the losing spree against the Terror Twins, it seems like they must have a plan to overcome such humiliating defeats. The Prince is in a heated feud with Damian Priest. Therefore, the two are likely to collide at some point in the future.
Balor and JD McDonagh failed to put away the unlikely pairing of the Punisher and Jey Uso on Raw. Therefore, the faction might be losing their tag titles soon to allow the former teammates to settle their differences.
Moreover, Rhea Ripley is after the Women’s World Championship of Liv Morgan. The two stars are rumored to collide at Bad Blood in Atlanta. In fact, the culmination of the rivalry could take place inside the Hell in a Cell structure.
