Gunther showed his ruthless side in his match against Finn Balor ahead of his bout against Damian Priest at SummerSlam. Over the past few weeks, The Ring General has garnered immense heat by insulting and referring to Judgment Day members as “street trash.” The violent confrontation between the champ and challenger set up a match between Gunther and Balor.

On the latest episode of Raw, the 36-year-old star took a shot at Finn Balor by saying that he wasn’t his old self anymore. Gunther even admitted that he had looked up to the veteran, but it all changed when he joined The Judgment Day. The Ring General stated that, after joining the group, he had become, just like the others, street trash.

Both stars met in the main event of the show, and it was a hard-hitting contest from the get-go. The Prince didn’t shy away from throwing chops at Gunther, but the Imperium leader was ready with his own. It looked like Balor was hurt by the longest reigning I.C. Champion’s chops, as the marks were visible on his chest. In the final moments of the match, Gunther survived a Coup de Grace and put his opponent to sleep.

However, what happened after the match was even more chaotic. When The Ring General refused to let go of the unconscious Balor, Damian Priest came out and attacked his SummerSlam opponent. Priest did get some revenge after Gunther insulted him and the entire Judgment Day. It is safe to say that El Campeon will receive substantial support in his title defense against his toughest opponent yet on August 3.

Finn Balor expressed his desire to wrestle current United States Champion Logan Paul

Finn Balor is an absolute legend in the wrestling business, with a career worthy of the Hall of Fame wherever he has competed. He has won many titles and fought against countless superstars. However, he is eagerly anticipating facing the one star he hasn’t wrestled before, Logan Paul.

Balor spoke with IGN and admitted that he was caught up in the hype created by the current U.S. Champion during his WWE tenure. The veteran stated that he hadn’t wrestled Logan before and would like to test him in the ring. Balor said that he was keen to see how well he did in the ring against him. 

I’m very curious to get in there and test myself against everyone, and someone who I haven’t been in there with is Logan Paul. I’ll be very curious to see what he’s all about. I’m into the hype. I respect what he’s done so far, and I would like to test him in the ring.

The 29-year-old star has been the U.S. Champion for over 250 days now. He won the title from Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel, and since then, he has only defended it on two occasions. The Prime co-owner will defend his title for the third time against LA Knight this Saturday at SummerSlam.
