The Philadelphia Eagles were supposed to ease towards a 2nd successive Super Bowl win. Instead, Kevin Stefanski has a headache on his hands after Jalen Hurts and the offense’s struggles over the past few weeks.
There have been rumors of a disconnect between the star quarterback and his leading wide receiver, AJ Brown. In this game, the two seemed to be on point as the wideout caught for 132 yards and 2 scores.
The problem was that, other than that performance from one player, the rest of the team effectively did not play up to the standards that Philly fans have come to expect of them.
Everyone from Hurts, Saquon Barkley, who had a paltry 53 yards to show, and the defense could not do anything to stop the Chicago Bears from embarrassing them in front of their staunch supporters.
Late in the game, the passionate Philly fans started booing and gesturing with their hands out wide, after Jalen Hurts and his unit could not get anything meaningful going in the face of an impending loss.
Then, when the defense collapsed in the 4th quarter, the fans had it, and ‘Fire Kevin’ chants broke out along with a loud round of boos. They were visibly frustrated, and some of them started to walk out well before the game ended.

If anything, head coach Nick Sirianni will likely face a lot of heat for the way his team played, and especially the work of offensive coordinator Kevin Putallo. Not only did the Bears trample over them, but they also gave the football world ways to defeat the Eagles.
Richard Sherman goes off on Kevin Patullo
Philadelphia fans may have bailed on their team late in the game. But Super Bowl champion cornerback Richard Sherman noticed the signs by halftime.

Offensively, you’ve got to find something else. You’ve got to put your glasses on, Sirianni, and maybe get your wand out and find yourself a new offensive coordinator, cause right now, Kevin Patullo does not have the answers, he’s shown incompetency over the last couple of games… You need a little Wingardium Leviosa.
Richard Sherman said on Prime’s Halftime show
The former 5-Time Pro Bowler did point out that the Eagles’ defense has not been anywhere near their best, and needs a wake-up call before their season goes haywire.

But he believes the bigger problem lies on the offensive side of the ball, where the reigning Super Bowl champions have been a disaster ever since Kellen Moore left.
Sherman hopes head coach Nick Sirianni has seen enough to find the courage to make a change at offensive coordinator. Their season could unravel to the point where they would waste a chance to win another Super Bowl.
Eagles’ defense not as great as last season
When the Philadelphia Eagles hired Vic Fangio to lead their defense, many wondered if he had it in him, especially with the way the Miami Dolphins fared in his short stint there.
But he answered his critics by elevating an already good defense to the point where they were toying with Patrick Mahomes during Super Bowl LIX. The hope was that this season, the younger players would step up after the veterans left.
So far, that has not been the case, even though there have been some moments worthy of appreciation. The manner in which the Chicago Bears ran through the Eagles is concerning.

The away team amassed 281 yards on the ground, with Kyle Monangai and former Eagles’ star D’Andre Swift, both amassing 125 yards and a score each. This was the most a Fangio defense has allowed in the past 2 decades.
