Joy Taylor just lost her job at Fox Sports after the network decided not to continue with her show, Speak, amidst the lawsuit filed by a former employee. This leaves her out of a broadcasting job and makes her a free agent.
However, other top networks associated directly or even indirectly with any of the top sporting leagues would not want to face the backlash in case they think of hiring her. Those accusations of using favors to rise to the top can have a detrimental impact on their image.
They also know that the lawsuit filed by former FS1 make-up artist, Noushin Faraji, is not over. The 38-year-old could end up having to lose more face. In case she accepts a settlement, it will invariably prove that she accepts all those accusations leveled against her.
However, the internet is not off limits for her. She did start a podcast with Taylor Rooks. That, though, has seemingly ceased to exist after the lawsuit broke cover. However, there is someone who has been speaking with her about a possible project.
Joy’s a great host. I know we’re looking at her for the football side. We’ve been behind the scenes talking to her for the last year.
Gilbert Arenas said on No Chill Gil
This was three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, who runs a successful basketball-oriented podcast, Gil’s Arena, in conjunction with Underdog. His claim seems to suggest he knew that Joy Taylor’s contract was winding down and tried to make a case for his show.

Considering how they want to expand into covering the NFL, they need people involved with football on a nightly basis. Now that Taylor is free of all obligations, she could help Arenas start a football show.
Keyshaw Johnson and LeSean McCoy had to follow Joy Taylor out of FS1
When FS1 canceled Speak, it meant Keyshawn Johnson and NBA Hall of Famer Paul Pierce were also without jobs. The latter has his own podcast show. The former has one too, but he could collaborate for in-depth football analysis.

Let’s just say, Shannon (Sharpe) decides to get Keyshawn, Shady McCoy to Nightcap, ooh different show.

The former NBA star believes Keyshawn Johnson or LeSean McCoy, who was also let go after The Facility was canceled, will instantly take Shannon Sharpe‘s Nightcap to another level. Having former players with experience in broadcasting can elevate podcasts.
So far, most of the football-oriented podcasts are run by former players who do not have broadcasting experience. Johnson and McCoy bring that in spades. That polish is what is needed for certain podcasts to climb the next tier of growth.
Joy Taylor paid the price for her relationship with FS1 exec
Days after Noushin Faraji’s lawsuit became public, Joy Taylor continued to host Speak. Many felt it was FS1’s way of shutting down the noise until the lawsuit was settled. However, the situation became bleak when former Fox Sports reporter Julie Stewart-Binks filed a lawsuit against Charlie Dixon.
Former NFL player Marcellus Wiley, while speaking on his podcast, believes that the second one broke the camel’s back. He went on to detail how that lawsuit became the final curtain call for Taylor.
Charlie, when the First lawsuit hit, they put him on administrative leave. Second lawsuit hit, they let him go. People were telling me, ‘they are going to get rid of Joy.’ Everything that Charlie touched, had to go.

Marcellus Wiley commented on the firing of Emmanuel Acho and Joy Taylor from FS1, stating that their dismissals were consequences of the lawsuit involving Charlie Dixon and Joy Taylor. He suggested that anyone connected to Dixon was let go. pic.twitter.com/m45PtF6aFs

As a former Fox Sports employee, he shared that, according to his sources, the clout on top of Joy Taylor‘s head was too much for the company to carry on with. The network’s image after the Charlie Dixon allegations was destroyed, and the Speak’s host was a part of the reason.
