As the game of cricket continues to evolve, it keeps getting shorter and shorter. From Tests to ODIs to T20Is to T10 now, with every new format, the craze for the game keeps on growing. As the game continues to garner appreciation it has crossed many boundaries. And is now witnessing active participation from women as well as the differently-abled.
In a bid to bring the game to the masses, the Karnataka State Physical Challenge Cricket Association (KSPCCA) is planning to organise a T10 tournament for the differently-abled in India. The tournament is the first of its kind in the World and will take place in Noida. According to a report by Jagran, the tournament is being scheduled March 10 and 25 next year.

The report suggests that teams from 27 to 28 states will be participating in the inaugural edition of the competition. The week-long tournament will be hosting three to four matches in a day. And the organisers are expecting a huge footfall if the pandemic is under control. The report suggests that the Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju will be gracing the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.
According to the report, KSPCCA vice-president Rajiv Mishra who lives in Noida-based JP Aman has confirmed the development. Up until now, the Abu Dhabi T10 League is the only T10 league going around the world and that too for general players. This will be the first time that the differently-abled players will play the format.
