Mayra Bueno Silva makes her way down to 125 pounds for a three-round showdown vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius. The WMMA pair marks the first women fighters in Saturday’s UFC event in Saudi Arabia. UFC Saudi Arabia takes shape at ANB Arena in Riyadh.

Mayra Bueno Silva recently hopped on to socials and provided exclusive snaps of her new all-white fight kit. It’s similar in a tone scheme to what UC Saudi Arabia headliner and recent title challenger Israel Adesanya wore in his last August outing. UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program’s payout tiers for Venum’s multi-year deal saw a number of custom kits for 2024 season.

For what it’s worth, it draws more from her all-black contender kit than the new Venum “Fusion” or other lineups. Bueno Silva’s wasn’t all that new or dazzling, but it’s historic in its own right. That’s because Saudi GEA and DTC Arabia keeps on to their devout principles and minimal exposure to women fighters in “The Land of the Two Holy Mosques.”.

Jasmine Jasudavicius and her challenger mark the first-ever UFC female fighters in Saudi Arabia, which is otherwise always an all-male card! Hence, the new fight kit marks the start of a milestone. During the UFC Saudi Arabia media day, Bueno Silva shared videos wearing a custom Venum women’s fight kit specific to the country.

Then-champ Leon Edwards and Scouser talent Paddy Pimblett’s shorts were a true mark of where they came from. Meanwhile, Brazilian Charles Oliveira’s shorts were a big miss. But Bueno Silva’s threads weren’t about the color; it’s where she is going from here.

There were no women’s fights on the first fight night, UFC on ABC 6: Whittaker vs. Aliskerov. Flyweight bout Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Mayra Bueno Silva will change that. It’s a long way from big names Cris Cyborg and Larissa Pacheco scrapping in their regular kits and tank tops for PFL PPV Super Fight. But still, it is historic.

Mayra Bueno Silva (10-4-1 MMA, 5-4-1 UFC) returns again to the women’s flyweight scales since October 2021. She’s 3-2 at the mark with one no-contest. The bantamweight bruiser is a big thing and earned the first kneebar submission victory in UFC women’s competition. Her two submission victories in UFC women’s bantamweight competition are tied for second-most behind Ronda Rousey.

However, Team ATT’s “Sheetara” is in a 2-2-1 slump with a three-fight winless skid. Bueno Silva, 33, lost a title bid to Raquel Pennington last January. Then she went for bloody warfare in a doctor’s stoppage TKO defeat to Macy Chiasson at UFC 303 in June.

The cut was horrendously deep but she wanted to keep going. To add to the woes, NSAC fined Bueno Silva $2,500, plus $157.04 in prosecution fees for jumping out of the octagon. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Jasudavicius has the chance to add a notable name after winning five of her last six. Including three in a row. The Canadian is fresh off a third-round submission of Ariane Lipski at UFC Edmonton.

Per Draftkings Sportbooks’ early money odds for UFC Saudi Arabia, Jasudavicius is a moderate favorite at -225. Bueno Silva is the betting underdog at +185. Come this weekend, it’s a hard historic brawl ahead for both.
