Joel Embiid

Joel Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers star, is baffled by the hate he receives from fans and critics. Despite his impressive career and resilience in the face of adversity, he feels like the most hated guy in the league. Embiid is unable to understand why people can’t relate to his story and admire his determination.

Embiid’s career is marked by his battles with chronic foot injuries, which he blamed for his failure to attain GOAT status, sidelined him for the first two seasons after being drafted. However, he has still managed to become one of the top players in the league and helped turn around the 76ers franchise.

I'm probably the most hated guy in the league. I don't know why, 'cause I'm just cool. I don't know what's there to hate about me. I feel like a lot of people can relate to my story and what I've been through.

Despite his accomplishments, Joel Embiid is also known for his outspoken personality and trash-talking on the court. Additionally, the focus on championships and playoff success puts pressure on Embiid, who has yet to lead his team past the second round.

Embiid’s focus is now on helping Team USA win a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. With the addition of Paul George to the 76ers roster, Embiid is hopeful that he can lead his team to a championship and change the narrative surrounding his career.

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid’s quest for dominance

Joel Embiid believes he would average 50 points per game if teams weren’t allowed to double-team him. The Philadelphia 76ers center thinks he would be nearly unstoppable, scoring easily or drawing fouls and getting to the free-throw line.

No doubles? Fifty [points per game]. Not even kidding. I would. Because all you would have to do is just throw the ball down there [into the post] every single possession and I'll get to the free-throw line or I'll score.

Despite facing constant double and triple teams, he still manages to average over 30 points per game and get opposing big men in foul trouble. However, he hinted that he lacks the supporting cast to take his game to the next level, citing Jayson Tatum’s “super team” in Boston.

If he can stay healthy and improve as a playmaker, the Sixers will be a formidable force in the league. Embiid’s determination to prove himself as an unstoppable force will be exciting to watch this season.
