Although it’s been only seven years since Patrick Mahomes began his journey in the NFL, looking at his accolades over these years, it’s not surprising to hear about young players idolizing him. However, it isn’t such a normal thing for him, as when his lookalike quarterback, Dylan Raiola, has been implementing the NFL superstar’s playing style, it flattered him beyond words.
But since the Kansas City Chiefs‘ star is known for talking upbeat, he gave the most fitting response to the college football quarterback idolizing him. After Tom Brady, the quarterback widely considered capable of surpassing him is Mahomes, who made a significant impact in just seven years.
And as Raiola prepares for his NFL debut, he aims to have his name replacing Mahomes in the future. That’s why the Nebraska quarterback has already begun drawing inspiration from his idol and three-time Super Bowl champion.
With great admiration, Raiola has started adopting Mahomes’ style, both off-field and on-field comprising from fashion to his playing style.

It's cool, honestly. I was that guy. I grew up watching players. I remember when I would grow up, I loved Alex Rodriguez playing shortstop and I tried to make plays just like him and do stuff like that, and it helped me become the athlete that I am. It's just telling me I'm getting a little old.Patrick Mahomes said
Mahomes also shared that he had previously trained with his lookalike quarterback earlier in the off-season and found him a “great football player.” And since Raiola is following the footsteps of the Chiefs superstar, he might have already cracked the code to success upon entering the league.
The soon-to-be 29-year-old quarterback also praised the college football quarterback for not caring about social media and instead, focus more on the team’s success. So far, Raiola’s run with Nebraska has been impressive as he logged completing 73. 7% of his passes for 423 yards and three touchdowns. However, to say if his intimidation would manifest a similar collegiate career as Mahomes is yet to be seen.
